Although much of the market activity and press coverage tend to lean towards the “makers” community and small scale, sometimes esoteric, applications and upstart companies, mainstream manufacturing companies are adopting additive manufacturing at a growing pace, and for good reasons. Read more NEW CHALLENGES VA Innovation Creation Series Upper limb amputees now account for 22% of all new amputees, and while scientists have greatly improved prosthetic legs during the past decade, improvements to artificial arms have not kept pace. Given this, the VA Center for Innovation invites the Community to create an attachment or accessory to a prosthetic arm that will improve the user’s quality of life.
