I am determined to get back to where I was and beyond in the shortest amount of time.  My plan is quite simply to fail, embrace failure and grow as a result.  So what does that mean Matt? Well, let me break it down. My training consists of techniques that include heavy partial reps, drop sets, forced reps with the assistance of a training partner when available and paused sets. Let's take a quad workout for example.  I start with leg extensions 3 or 4 sets to warm up and then it is go time. I set the weight heavy enough where I am only able to perform 3-5 full range reps, these are followed by partial reps until I can no longer contract my quads past the first quarter of the movement then the weight is reduced and the process begins again. Depending on the starting weight there may be 3 or 4 drops before the final weight used is reached at which point my set is completed. I perform two sets in this fashion and then move on to my compound movement. I will move to a squat or press. Again with a warmup or two if needed then right into the working set. I will begin squatting and keep going until I am struggling for my last rep. At the top portion I will catch my breath for up to 30 seconds and then continue usually only getting another couple reps. I will repeat this 4 to 5 times before the set is completed. And there you have it, my failure to suceed process for quads. I will go over another workout at my next post. Until then I hope everyone who gives this method a try embraces their failure and suceeds!               mattcena | March 22, 2016 at 7:20 pm | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: http://wp.me/pBLwy-77 Comment    See all comments Unsubscribe to no longer receive posts from Mattcena's Blog.
