All central Government employees will take cleanliness pledge on October 2. “A clean mind lives in clean body. But what is required to do is that there has to be awareness in every common man that it (cleanliness) becomes a permanent stint of one’s lifestyle,” the Minister said. The government launched the campaign to enlighten the people on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day appeal in making India a clean country by 2019 to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
