Upwork Hi Ravinder, We wanted to let you know about some updates to the Upwork Terms of Service, which will go into effect on September 6, 2015. You can read the full agreements on our updated Terms of Service page. Here are the highlights of updates made to the User Agreement: We included an explanation of when we will provide reasonable advanced notice before implementing substantial changes to our Terms of Service. The rights and responsibilities of Agencies with respect to their employees and subcontractors are further detailed. We updated the provisions relating to how disputes with Upwork are resolved, including changes to our arbitration agreement. Changes were made to improve formatting and readability. Additionally, we revised and incorporated into the Terms of Service the Upwork Payroll Agreement, which sets forth roles and responsibilities when a client and freelancer sign up to use Upwork Payroll. Integrating this agreement into the Terms of Service removes the extra step of having to sign the client agreement off platform. If you continue using the Site after September 5, 2015, the new terms will apply to you. If you don’t agree to the amended Terms of Service, you can close your account before September 6, 2015, and you won’t be bound by the amended terms.
