TV star Gauhar Khan was presenting Raw Star when a 24-year-old man in the audience stood up out of his seat and slapped her on the face. Police arrested Akil Malik and booked him with assault, causing hurt, and criminal intimidation. Malik claimed: “being a Muslim woman, [Gauhar Khan] should not have worn such a short dress”. How could we prevent this kind of behaviour in Indian society?
